Disobedience will lead to a visit from Shub-Niggurath's minions...
You may not upload any copyrighted files (such as the full Quake, the original pak1.pak or some of the missionpacks) without permission by the copyright owners.
You may upload any Quake-related files here as long as you follow the rules above.
If you are not sure about something just contact us.
Be aware that spaces are converted to underscores and anything not 0-9, A-Z, a-z, ".", "_", "-" will be removed.
There is no limit to the filesize. (Well, 2GB, pfff)
Of course there can't be a guarantee that your files remain unaltered and intact. You'll never know what can happen on a computer. So if anything is bad, don't blame us!
If you want to upload some file with a different extension just ask. Maybe the extension will be allowed.
Anything else should go to /misc
Yes, you have to write a short description about the file(s) you are uploading. Why? To make it easier for us to spot files we should delete. You don't need to write a novel of course, something like "my latest hud" or "this is a nice map" is enough. The more detailed the better though.
Files that are lacking a description will be deleted if the content is not easily distinguishable.
Files with a non-english
description will be deleted without further investigation.
If you want to upload your new map please keep in mind that you should provide a proper readme. Here is the reference. Do name it after your map, not readme.txt.
If you are uploading your own stuff it would be nice to specify a license under which people can easily re-distribute/modify your files. For example the GPL or CC or just create your own (reasonable) one.
This site is a project by Spirit. He also runs Quaddicted.com, an archive of Quake Singleplayer maps.
Aquashark, neg!ke and vb are co-admins (Thanks guys!). The logo was made by lemike, thanks!
As total strangers shall not upload non-Quake stuff on this site, the password is not totally public. You should not have any problem finding it if you are in the Quake community. Browse the forums or ask someone in IRC. Or just mail Spirit.
